The event was for a fundraiser for the Sunset Youth Services in San Francisco, California. I was performing there to help raise money for the youth center that helps a lot of the inner city kids. A friend of mine that also helped out at the event said that the Youth Center was struggling a little to maintain the monetary demands, so I decided I would go help out at the event. I always felt the need to give back to people who supported me in my life, and it was really compelling for me to help out the people who were giving kids an opportunity to hone their art and craft and a chance to succeed in school. If it were not for the people who works at the Youth Center, a lot of the kids would have probably end up in rough situations. The staff at the youth center provide guidance and mentors a lot of the kids that go there for homework help, choosing a career path, or just to stay there because something was not sitting well at home.

I am delighted to have been at the event because I was trying to help out my community by doing anything I can to keep the youth center afloat. Since I am a magician (of course not as great a magician as Cyril is) I was trying to create moments of disbelief for the staff members of the center, the sponsors that helped put the event together, The Bently’s who were the owners of the building, and a lot of other important people that were donating to the Sunset Youth Center. A lot of people do not get much opportunities to witness magic in real life, so for me to bring that moment of amazement to them was my pleasure. It was also interesting because people kept asking me how and why I started learning and performing magic which is funny because I was shamelessly plugging Cyril.

I started learning magic after watching the famous Hamburger video among others when I first entered high school, and after going to the Mac King show in Vegas…I wanted to be a magician.

I know that this is a really big wall of text, but that’s the most magical part of my career thus far, because I was helping out a place that was giving kids a chance to pursue in careers that they may have thought unattainable otherwise. I thank you for reading this, and thank you for your time.

My name is JB Dela Cruz I am a Magician Artist in Manila, Philippines. I have been performing for TV, Corporate events and other prvate parties. I have a foundation( “U HAPPY EVENTS” that helps poor ophanges and community chlidren around the country. Me and my friends help them raise funds. I always find it fulfilling to bring back to my neighbors the happiness that magic can do to entertain them. I have been doing rounds of Magic show for orphanges and poor kids. We start the program by some games, story telling, magic shows and the last part is the feeding prgram where we feed the kids with a nutricious food, that most of the time their family can’t afford to cook.

Magical moment 1 – A picture of me showing Magic to the poor community children of REAL LIFE foundation, seeing their sweet little smiles and laughters makes me want to do more than just a Magic show for them.

Magical Moment 2 – This is me, playing a relay games with the kids, Strategizing with my team hehe. The kid is the captain of my team.

Thank you Cyril for major conribution to the Magic industry and for inspiring local artist like me. I actually have your first 3 DVD(original copy) which was bought by a relative in Japan years ago. I hope to meet you personally soon in Manila if ever you will visit and it willl be a dream come true for me and the kids here to see your magic to various oprhanges together with my “HAPPY EVENTS foundation volunteers”

Hey People, my name is Criss Vergara, Illusionist from Chile, in the picture i show my Most Magically Moment in all my life like magician.
